Improve my Preps store. Comments requested.
 

I am setting up an online preps store and I would love to have some input from all the smart people here who would consider shopping at such a store.

First I would like to say this so my thread can exist peacefully:

This is not an advertisement of any sort and I will not be mentioning the store's name or URL here at any point. I would just like some input to make it a better store.

Ok, now with that out of the way, the store will sell bulk items at a low price such as 5 gallons of olive oil, cases of imported chocolate blocks, 500 pounds of beans, boxes of organic food seeds and things of this nature that assist people in saving money and obtaining huge bulk lot sized items that are organic and healthy and have a long shelf life. It wont be just food, but food will be the focus. I will be starting small and have maybe 50 items at opening and will expand it from there if the market likes the concept.

It will be for people who want to store food and save money and teach a common sense style of living through investment in ones future wellbeing.

Think of it as a small Sam's Club or a Costco designed for GIM types.

What sort of things would you like to see for sale?

What is desired but lacking in the market?

What would you buy from such a store?

What do you like or hate about similar online shops?

What would you consider to be a deal killer if you saw it on such a shop?

How would you prefer to pay for such items?

Add anything you want to add. Anything goes.

My goal here is to make a business from what I already do so that I can also recycle my preps quickly and constantly and expand them as well while helping other people like me in the process.

Thats the thing its the same old crap. Get new stuff. Carry Dagoba chocolate, gourmet preps! ;0)

I toyed with this idea recently. Good Luck.
There is a lot of competition out there, but only a handful of really great sites.

Instead of the idea you are pursuing, I decided to go a little different route. So maybe soon, I'll have a great product for you to sell survival/disaster related.

Chocolate is a good idea for wanted but hard to find.

Shipping costs are something that often really raises prices on bulk orders. I pick up things like beans at my local co-op or grocery, for example because shipping wipes out any savings from bulk online dealers.

I'm sorry I don't have many suggestions.

And in a 1/2 dozen different sites.

Rev probably gave you the best suggestion, but even that is available if you look around a bit.
